Seattle Favorites in 40 Hours
One weekend and one plan: see all the sites of Seattle…in 40 hours. What can I say, I like a good challenge? Was there meticulous planning? Nope. Was there some curiosity-induced wandering? You betcha. Did I get a few tips from the locals? Yes indeed. It was a whirlwind of a weekend. From Pike’s Place to Bainbridge Island to the Space Needle and neighborhood gems, suffice to say that I’m 100% satisfied with all the sites, sips and eats of Seattle. Sun’s Out, Skewers Out!
QOTD: kebab or skewer? After much research (err…2 seconds of Googling), it’s confirmed: this cilantro sauciness oozing over grass-fed steak is in fact ON a skewer, but this “dish” is actually a steak KEBAB. You’re welcome. You are now appropriately informed enough to kick off grilling season! Seriously, where the heck did May go? Oh, that’s right it was washed away by all that rain in Texas. Loco for Lentils

Cooking as Meditation
Cooking > Meditation. Especially when it’s a PEANUT SATAY that sets you up for a week of stress-less meals. Because when the point of meditation is to free the mind and live in the present….that’s cooking. At least in my book. So ya know what?
