• Fall-ing for Fall Foods & Festivities

My favorite color is fall. If that’s cheating, then lock me away in a forest filled with leaves of every color and a year’s supply of squash, apples and pumpkin everything. As much as I love summer, there’s nothing like crispy, cool fall weather to get you in the mood for all the comfort foods. While the leaves haven’t hit their peak yet in Chicago, this squash is definitely picking up the slack with vibrant hues of greens, oranges and heaven-sent gold. Whether a special occasion or just a dinner in, this recipe isn’t nearly as complicated it looks and is sure to impress! Get toasty with this delightful Quinoa, Kale & Apple Stuffed Squash recipe below and get the lowdown on all the produce that fall has to offer.

  • Self-Care Sunday…and Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

Some days you go to the gym and eat salads, Sundays you eat Fruity Pebble cookies and don’t put pants on. You gotta nourish to flourish, ya know?

It’s another SMonday…that time when it stops feeling like Sunday, and starts feeling like Monday. All that weight and baggage can be heavy. And so there’s a reason we call it “Self-Care Sunday”. But what about all the others days of the week? Are we treating ourselves like sh*t day in day out? What if we practiced a little more positivity, a little more self love and care…each and every day of the week? In this week’s post, I’m sharing some of my favorite practices for adding a little more positivity to every day. Because you deserve it!

  • Is it even football season without chili?

I mean, really – is it even football season without chili? Negativo. No matter the temp, chili is the quintessential food of Monday Night Football. And we all know football is about the food, right? At least that’s how I roll. The best part? It’s uber customizable. My version is veggie forward with zucchini, summer squash and corn. The beans and ground turkey play second fiddle and can be swapped out to meet your dietary needs whether a veg head or not. I’ve perfected this version over multiple iterations, so hope you enjoy this quick and easy Veggified (Turkey Optional) Chili! Get the dEATs below.

  • Venice Beach Favorites

So this is September. Feeling a lot of gratitude these days as we enter a new moon and an opportunity for a reset. I don’t know about you, but August was rather tumultuous for me with Mercury in retrograde and a swirl of emotion that had me contemplating a lot of personal decisions about career, family and…purpose. Like, am I mindlessly climbing the ladder…or am I truly following my passions, the things that light me up? It reminded me that what truly excites me is not random. It’s connected to my purpose. And I needed to follow those passions. Like reigniting my passion for travel, my passion for driving innovation and my passion for creating connections. Read on for what sparked my clarity and creativity while in Venice Beach.
